A trigger that reacts to the "age" of the value of one or more channels. If a value has not been updated for longer than the set time (regardless of whether by reading or writing), the trigger is activated. This allows you, for example, to monitor that an operating mode is reported regularly or whether an interface receives data regularly.
Id
The number under which the trigger is stored internally. This field is read-only and empty when you create a new trigger.
Name
The name of the trigger.
Comment
The comment field is for free use by the integrator/system administrator. It serves exclusively to document the configuration. Information can be entered here, e.g. the purpose of the element, notes on the connected hardware, room/floor and other particulars. The content of this field has no significance for X2.
Dead Time
A period of time during which re-triggering of this trigger is suppressed after it has fired. Using the dead time, you can suppress multiple triggering if the triggering event occurs again within that time.
An example would be if you trigger an action, e.g. when a doorbell is pressed, and do not want this action to occur multiple times if the visitor rings repeatedly. In this example, the dead time determines the minimum time that must elapse after the first ring before the system responds to ringing again.
Max. Age
The maximum age the value of a channel may have. If the value of a channel has not been updated for longer than this, the trigger fires. The minimum possible value is 1 second (smaller values are interpreted internally as 1 second). In most use cases, however, times >= 1 minute are appropriate.
Remarks
This trigger only fires for the first channel whose value exceeds the set age – for it to fire again, the values of all channels must simultaneously be back within the age limit. The trigger has a fixed internal trigger lock that blocks triggering for approx. 1 minute after system start to prevent false triggering during the initialization phase.
