Id
The Id field shows the internal number under which the interface is stored. When creating a new interface, the field is empty. The type of the interface is displayed after it. Both parts are for display and information only.
Name
The name of the interface. The name is shown in selection lists and, where applicable, to users in notifications about the interface.
Comment
The comment field is for the integrator's free use. It serves solely to document the configuration. You can enter information here, e.g. the purpose of the interface, any special features, etc.
Options
There is a single checkbox here: Disabled. If you set this checkbox, the interface is disabled as far as possible. Channels of the interface remain available in the system, but write accesses are no longer passed on to the hardware, and read accesses return no value or the last available value.
Disabling an interface can be useful if the hardware is no longer connected or is defective, or if you want to try something out without addressing physical devices.
OCPP Interface
This interface provides an access point for charging stations that support OCPP-J. This allows the charging stations to connect to X2B and be controlled. More information here: Charging station
Permitted Versions
There are several versions of the OCPP-J protocol. Here you select which protocol versions are permitted on this interface (at least one). If several protocol versions are permitted, the charging station's preference determines which protocol version is used. Note that a charging station can only connect to the interface if it uses one of the permitted protocol versions.
Version 1.6 is supported by the majority of common wallboxes; version 2.0.1 is (as of 2024) still rather rarely supported and less well established.
Automatically Accept New Charging Stations
If this checkbox is set, every charging station that connects to the interface for the first time is automatically created in X2B. The most important properties of the charging station are automatically detected and configured. This is simpler, less error-prone and faster than entering the charging station manually. The checkbox should be cleared after the charging stations have been set up (to prevent a charging station from being added accidentally or maliciously). If the checkbox is cleared, unknown charging stations are rejected (the connection is disconnected immediately).
URL
The URL under which the charging stations connect to X2B (configuration instructions).
