A multifunction control for moving up/down, slat adjustment and step/stop. It can be configured to work together with a shading automation (e.g. a weather station).
Id
The Id field shows the internal number of the control and its type. The number is for display only and is assigned automatically by the system. The control type cannot be changed afterwards.
Name
The name of the control. The name is shown in selection lists and, for most control types, also directly to the user as a label.
Comment
The comment field is for free use by the integrator/system administrator. It serves solely to document the configuration. Information can be entered here, e.g. the purpose of the control, remarks, room/floor and other particulars. The content of this field has no meaning for X2.
Options/Customize
Timer: If the control supports timers, the timer can be activated with the checkbox. Widget size: Sets the size of the tile for the control in the widget/tile view. If the combo box is empty, a default size for the control type is used, which provides a good display in most scenarios. More options: Opens a dialog in which further, rarely needed settings can be made (timer lock, override colors).
Functions
| Channel | Function |
|---|---|
| On/Off command | Channel that switches the default value for automation on/off |
| On/Off status | Status channel for the automation default value |
| Stop command | Channel to which the command to stop the blind is sent |
| Up/Down command | Up/Down |
| Height % command | Channel for setting the blind position |
| Height % status | Channel from which the blind position is read |
| Slat % command | Channel for setting the slat position |
| Slat % status | Channel for reading the slat position |
| Automation On/Off command | Channel that switches a (shading) automation on/off |
| Automation On/Off status | Channel that provides the status of a (shading) automation |
| Automation start | Channel indicating that a shading automation is active. When the value on this channel changes, the automation default value is transferred to the Automation On/Off channel. |
| Automation height % | Channel through which a shading automation controls the blind height. Commands received here are forwarded to the Height % command when the automation is "On". |
| Automation slat % | Channel through which a shading automation controls the slat position. Commands received here are forwarded to the Slat % command when the automation is "On". |
| Automation up/down | Channel through which a shading automation can move the blind up/down. Commands received here are forwarded to the Up/Down command when the automation is "On". |
| Wind alarm | Channel that puts the control into the "wind alarm" state (on receipt of True; False clears the alarm). |
| Rain alarm | Channel that puts the control into the "rain alarm" state (on receipt of True; False clears the alarm). |
Automation Mode
Controls how the automation command/status works and is displayed:
| Selection | Mode |
|---|---|
| A1=M0 | Automation works as an enable switch. The automation is on when the channel is true. |
| A1=M1 | Automation works as a lock. The automation is off when the channel is true. |
Automation
Deactivate on operation via visualization: Switches off any existing automation when the user adjusts the blind via the visualization. Deactivate on operation via command channel: Switches off any existing automation when a value is written to one of the command channels (e.g. by a wall switch).
Using an Automation
By connecting the automation control channels, actuators that do not support automation control can be controlled together with an (external) automation, while the user can override the automation in several ways. For this, the blind control uses two channels: Automation On/Off and Automation default value. Both can be switched by the user via the visualization. On/Off directly controls whether the blind operates under automation control or is controlled manually (A/M in the visualization). The automation default value controls (if present) whether the automation is automatically reactivated on the following day. The default value is copied into the On/Off value when an automation start is received. The checkboxes "Deactivate automation on…" determine which actions implicitly switch off the automation. The effect is the same as if the user had switched to "M" (manual) mode in the visualization.
